Reiki

 

Reiki is not only a healing practice, but it is a way of life, and a way of being. Reiki heals not only the body, but it attends to the mind and spirit. I studied this powerful healing art when I lived in Thailand and became devoted to its practice when I saw and felt how it healed my own arthritis, depression, and excruciating pain from cysts and infections. I became a Master/Teacher of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki under Katherine Lena Moore at the Sukkasart Institute in Thailand. I am honored to be able to share Reiki's powerful healing now with you.

 

What is Reiki?

 

Reiki was developed in 1922 in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki involves the channeling of energy from practitioner to recipient in order to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy. It is a holistic, natural, hands-on energy healing system. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

 

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." In the chineese tradition this "life force" has been named Chi and in Christian Traditions this is the Holy Spirit. 

 

 

Reiki Treatments 

A Reiki treatment is a simple, non-intrusive, and powerful process. The Reiki practitioner channels the Reiki healing energy to the client by gently placing the hands in key position on the body. The client is fully clothed during the treatment.

 

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

 

Reiki complements any other treatments prescibed by a doctor, and does not harm nor interfere with treatments already in progress.
